Welcome to FiercePunch INC.

Hello, fighting fans. This is the first ever post in the FiercePunch INC blog, and what better time than after EVO Fighting Game Championships 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada . In this blog I want to talk about what happened at the tournament. There were alot of upsets and drama and this also was the biggest Evo of all time. Producer of Street Fighter 4, Yoshinori Ono was in attendance. Ono surprized everyone saying, that the arcade version of  Super Street Fighter 4 was not the end to the Street Fighter 4 series.  He couldn't say more but this will excite SF heads around the globe. I for one hope it's another patch giving some of the lower tier character more moves. But we will see soon, as he says it will be revealed in about two weeks.

Now getting back on the the fights,I have the results for the Street Fighter tournaments: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Super Street Fighter 4.

As you can see from the results, Justin Wong, the U.S. Champion, did not make the top 8. He was beaten by Gamerbee (a player from Taiwan from what I heard). Gamerbee played Adon, a character underrated from the start, and beat Justin 2-1. Another fighter, Sanford Kelly was DQ'ed after he stopped in mid-match pausing the game to fix his controls. In EVO rules, doing that loses you the round, giving it to your opponent. Sanford looked amazing in his fight before, easliy beating John Choi 2-0. With both players out, Ricky Ortiz was one of the only players left for the U.S.A. Umehara Daigo, the best Street Fighter player in the world, beat Ricky 3-1, defending his EVO title from 2009. Both tournaments were well played and shout out to Snake Eyez for winning the HD tourney.  I have posted a video saying how I felt about the Super Street Fighter 4 tourney as a whole, and how I felt about Justin Wong lossing to Gamerbee, and everyone reactions to it. Also talked about in the video is what I think of the top players and the players that look up to them, and how I think they take it. Make sure to leave your comments and tell how you felt about EVO as a whole.
